Important Instructions
Follow these steps:
- Receive approval to take Madison Municipal Court driving school.
- Enroll on drivesafemadison.com (you are here now).
- Complete the course prior to your court date.
- Pay court costs prior to your court date at madisonal.gov.
- Once you have completed the class and paid your court costs ($169), the ticket will be dismissed and you will not have to appear in court. Otherwise, you MUST appear in Court or a warrant for your arrest may be issued.

Level I: 4-Hour Alabama Defensive Driving course

A comprehensive 4-hour defensive driving course approved by Alabama courts. Covers defensive driving techniques, Alabama traffic laws, hazard recognition, and impaired driving prevention.

An 8-hour defensive driving course for repeat offenders or court-ordered Level II requirements. Covers advanced defensive driving, road rage management, and Alabama traffic law review.
